God is the all-knowing, ever-present, all-powerful Creator of the universe. We believe that God exists in three persons: The Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. He exists eternally: He has always been, and He will always be.

Jesus Christ is the Son of God. We know Him as the Savior of the world. Despite our sin, He came to earth in the form of man; completely sinless, and gave His life on the cross. This sacrifice, allows us to have the choice of eternal life.

Salvation is the gift that is offered to us by God through the sacrifice of His Son, Jesus Christ. He offered us eternal life in exchange for our sins; however, He has given us the free will to accept or reject it. We can receive the gift of salvation by Confessing with our mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believing in our hearts, that God raised Him to life. When we receive that gift, God justifies our sinful nature and covers us with a seal of righteousness. At Latitude, we believe that if the angels in Heaven rejoice over every salvation, that we should do the same!

When Jesus, the Son of God, left Earth to prepare a place for us in Heaven, He left us with the Holy Spirit, so that we would not be alone. The Spirit leads us through life by offering us discernment and allowing us to know what is right and wrong. He provides us with His power and offers us understanding, peace, and freedom. He lives within every saved believer, from the moment of salvation, and we strive to submit to His control and guidance daily.

The Bible is the inspired, unadulterated, God-breathed words of God Himself. The Bible is God’s love letter to His people. It was written by men under the inspiration and guidance of the Holy Spirit. His Word never fails to guide us through life, as we refer to it, continually. The Bible is one hundred percent truthful, and Latitude is committed to offering the truth of His Word.

The Church is a body of believers who come together in fellowship and corporate worship. We believe that the church is called to love God first, then share the love of Christ to all people, and equip disciples. We are to be the hands and feet of Jesus. The church is not a building; We are the church! Those that have confessed Him and believe, whole-heartedly. We will continue to strive to be “THAT CHURCH”. We will serve, give, and reach those that are far from God.

In the beginning, we were created to live forever in complete harmony with God; That is until sin separated us from Him. Now, we have the option of choosing where we want to spend eternity. We believe that when we accept the gift of salvation, God justifies our sin and offers us, once again, the gift of eternal life with Him.

Baptism is an outward expression of the inward change that God has made within us. We believe that baptism follows salvation, and is a way of showing the world that we are not ashamed of what God is doing in us. We believe that if baptism was good enough for Jesus, then it is good enough for us.

Man was created in the image of God and to have fellowship with God. God desires to have a personal relationship with everyone. Man is a fallen and sinful being and is in desperate need of saving. Man cannot save himself, therefore needs a Savior.

Sin was introduced to man in Genesis chapter three. Sin is what separates us from a relationship with God. Sin is in direct opposition of a holy and just God. Where sin is, God cannot resign. This is why salvation is imperative to the sinner.

Communion is a symbolism of remembering what Jesus did and went through for us so that we could experience His fullness and His grace. Communion is remembering Jesus death, His pain and the sorrow He faced for you and me. Communion is commanded in Scripture for those who have a personal relationship with Jesus to often practice. Communion can be done personally and corporately. Whenever you participate in communion, you are remembering the Lord’s death until He comes again.

The Kingdom of God is the spiritual realm in which God reigns as King, as Lord, as God. The Kingdom is the fulfillment on Earth of God’s will.

We believe that family supersedes blood relatives. Family extends past race, past nationality, past the color of a person’s skin. Family prays together, they do life together, they disagree, they argue, they might not get along, but family always sticks together. We believe that your “church family” is as important as your blood family. We like to say, “Welcome Home.” So, if you are in need of family, welcome to the family.
We believe that marriage is between a man and a woman. We believe that God is the designer of marriage, the sustainer of marriage and the fulfillment of marriage.
